Country: Colombia
Location: La Pintada, Antioquia
Year: 2018

Description:

The Mulatos tunnel is an essential part of the Enlace Pacífico 2 road project, whose route covers 96.5 km between La Pintada - Primavera (Caldas) and La Pintada -Bolombolo (Venice), promises to unite Medellín with the Eje Cafetero and with the Pacific Coast.
It is 2.5 kilometers long and has two tubes (the right, 2,413 meters, and the left, 2,443 meters).
With these works, the travel time between Cali and Medellín for a five-axle truck will be reduced from 15 to 8 hours and a private vehicle will be able to make the journey in five hours.

IDENTIFIED NEEDS:
The supplied formwork is designed from the ground up so that it can be combined with existing pieces from other customer-owned formwork. With this adaptability of new and used material, a reduction in the final costs of the project is achieved.
