The construction of the 300 meter-long pier slab began in September of this year, within the “Stage I: Construction of the Container Pier at the Paita Port Terminal” project. In the city of Paita, Peru. Paita is constituted nowadays as the second port with the most traffic in the country, and plans on building a new container pier with a container yard of 12.5 hectares, and dredging at least -13 meters deep. These upgrading works will transform the city into a focal port point in the North part of the country and in the entire area South of the Equator. With self-launching truss system developed by Rúbrica, the initial estimated times for the construction of the new pier are being significantly shortened as it is allowing for weekly sections with a width of almost 35 m and a length of 18 m.
