MONTAJE DE LAS MÁQUINAS DEL EQUIPO ESPECIAL DE ENCOFRADO

Gracias a Merseylink por escribir tan bien acerca de nuestro equipo especial de encofrado y en que fase se encuentra:

We copy the new form Mersey Newslleter about the stage work: » Construction teams have started to assemble the special machines that will build the Mersey Gateway bridge deck between the three bridge pylons. The bright blue machines called ‘form travellers’ are currently being assembled at the north and south cofferdams. They will act as movable concrete moulds for the bridge deck spans and work in a similar way to the MSS, which is building the elevated approach viaducts. Three pairs of form travellers will be built in total; one pair for each bridge pylon. Once assembled, they will be lifted by a hydraulic system and fixed into place at either side of the bridge pylons. The form travellers will then be separated and moved to the next span position, so the deck will effectively ‘grow’ from each side of the pylon until the main bridge deck is complete. After the third deck segment has been cast from the bridge pylon, it will then be connected to a stay cable and the pylon for support. The machines are expected to be ready to start work in the spring».
